In all honesty I have not always been involved with health and fitness – having been diagnosed with an autoimmune condition at a young age meant that most of my high school was spent in doctors rooms. I always felt weak and like I couldn’t do too much by myself, and lifting weights and intense exercise always seemed like a ludicrous idea and I was advised against it by my doctors at the time. That all changed in 2013 when I decided to take my health into my own hands and started training and learning as much as I could about health, fitness and the human body. Since then, I believe that every person should know what strength and fitness truly feels like – to be strong and capable is something so many people don’t get to experience!
